Abstract:Multi-innovation identification is an important branch of system identification.The innovation is the useful information that can improve parameter estimation or state estimation accuracies.This paper discusses various multi-innovation identification methods for linear regression models,including the multi-innovation projection algorithm,the multi-innovation stochastic gradient algorithm,the multi-innovation forgetting gradient algorithm,the interval-varying multi-innovation stochastic gradient algorithm,the multi-innovation least squares algorithm,the interval-varying multi-innovation least squares algorithm,and so on.We give the stochastic gradient algorithm,the multi-innovation stochastic gradient algorithm and the multi-innovation least squares identification algorithm for equation error type systems,output error type systems and input nonlinear systems.Finally,we state that the multi-innovation identification theory can be developed to multi-innovation observer and multi-innovation Kalman filtering theory.

Abstract:This paper presents the stabilization of a class of uncertain nonlinear systems with delays.The uncertainty is bounded and may not satisfy the so-called matching conditions.Some sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the resultant closed-loop system to be robustly stable.Those conditions are expressed as the solvability problem of linear matrix inequalities.Based on these criteria,the problem is solved via state feedback controller.Finally,a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:In order to realize the global optimization,a novel genetic pattern search (GPS) method is proposed in this paper,which combines the powerful global search ability of genetic algorithm (GA) and the powerful local search ability of generalized pattern search (PS).The algorithm is two-folded,firstly GA and PS are integrated to coarse-search,and secondly,only PS is utilized to fine-search.Experiments on different test functions such as Hump,Powell,Rosenbrock,Schaffer,and Woods demonstrate that this proposed GPS is superior to improved GA and improved PS with respect to successful rate.Accordingly,GPS is an effective and feasible global optimization algorithm.

Abstract:Based on observed atmospheric CO2 concentrations at 10 background stations in East Asia,temporal and spatial variations in atmospheric CO2 are analyzed,and impacts of the underlying surface,source and sink upon atmospheric CO2 levels are also discussed.Analysis results reveal that the monthly averaged CO2 concentrations at the observation stations exhibit strong seasonal variations.The higher values appear in cold seasons such as winter and spring,while the lower values present from July to September,i.e.,summer in northern hemisphere.Diurnal variations in CO2 concentrations are approximately same at these stations.The concentration reaches its lowest at about 15:00 LST (Local Standard Time),and then goes up constantly during night and reaches its highest at 7:00 LST,and after that it decreases subsequently with the radiation strengthens.There are inverse relationships between the mean CO2 concentration and the vegetable amount of underlying surface,and between the range of the daily concentration variation and the vegetable amount,respectively.The annually averaged CO2 concentration rose constantly from 2004 to 2008 at Mt.Waliguan,one of global background stations,with an increase rate of 2.28×10-6/a.

Abstract:Using the HYbrid Single-Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory(HYSPLIT) model,three cluster analysis of 96 h back trajectories for August 2004 to December 2001 arriving at 15:00 pm in Beijing at three different arrival heights of 10,100 and 500 m have been performed in order to better understand the impact of air transport pathways on urban air pollutant concentrations in cold and warm seasons.Three natural synoptic scale transport patterns were identified with westerly,strong-westerly and slow-easterly from August of 2004 to December of 2007.And five synoptic scale transport patterns were identified during cold seasons and warm seasons.With observational data taken from an urban site of Institute of Atmospheric physics,the impact of each transport pattern on air pollutant concentrations in Beijing were analyzed.The results show high atmospheric pollutant concentrations of both cold and warm seasons always appear in slow-northwestern pathways,the low pollutant concentrations of cold seasons appear in strong-northerly pathways and that of warm seasons appear in both slow-northerly pathways and strong-northwestern pathways.The analytic results indicate low pollutant concentration always appear in long-range transport pattern as the fast wind speed and air pathways from heavy polluted industrial region tend to increase the urban pollutant concentration in Beijing.The bias between the air transport pathway effect and the pollutant concentration distribution in warm seasons indicates that more study are needed on other potential factors effecting urban atmospheric pollutants.

Abstract:This paper attempts to retrieve aerosol and surface optical properties simultaneously from multi-angle data observed by single satellite.A case study was conducted using the MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) 1B data of May 2009.The resulting aerosol optical depth was consistent with that of the aerosol product (MOD04),the correlation coefficient is 0.791 4.The comparison of the resulting land surface reflectance with that of the surface reflectance product (MOD09) also produced good consistency.The algorithm made a good attempt to retrieve the average of aerosol optical depth using single-satellite multi-angle observations data.

Abstract:Wide application of transgenic technology in agriculture brings enormous benefit to the humanity,yet poses potential threats to the environment and ecological diversity.The safety concern of transgenic rice has taking the center stage in both public and scientific forum.Being regarded as a main way of gene flow,the rice pollen has become an important test subject for monitoring and evaluating of transgenic rice safety.It's of significance to establish the rice pollen diffusion model and calculate the isolation distance for rice gene safety.However,the traditional method of monitoring and collecting rice pollen needs heavy workload and can not provide actual data of rice pollen's space-time distribution,which is just required by the security evaluation model.We develop a portable instrument for automatic collection of rice pollen image,which can obtain the rice pollen's space-time distribution without disturbing the natural subsidence of rice pollens.Based on the embedded Linux platform with ARM chip as its core component,the instrument adds external equipments such as camera,SD memory card and stepping motor to satisfy the function of the experiment.The instrument collects the pollen data as manual gathering as possible with least disturbance,and provides real-time spatial distribution of rice pollen.Results of application show that the data collected can meet the requirements of safety evaluation,which will enrich the database of rice pollen diffusion model.The instrument saves human resources,and offers help for transgenic rice security monitoring and evaluating.

Abstract:The background noise has a great influence on the accurate extraction of pitch period.For the EMD soft-threshold de-noising method can be effective against the background noise,one novel method is proposed for pitch period extraction of noisy speech.Combined with the EMD soft-threshold de-noising method and center clipping,this method preprocesses the speech signal,then employs the signal waveform in time donation for matching estimation,in order to acquire the accurate pitch period.The implementing simulation results demonstrate that,the proposed method has a higher accuracy compared with traditional methods.

Abstract:After analyzing the characteristics of multiple fault modes,the case knowledge database is established for multiple faults,and a multiple fault diagnosis method for electric equipments based on the two-step case retrieval strategy is proposed.The weight membership is employed to generate the initial candidate cases,which reduces the number of candidate cases greatly.Subsequently,the most probable fault case is obtained through the calculation of case similarity with the grey relational analysis,which avoids the problem of time-consuming computation resulting from the combination explosion of multiple faults.Finally,an example is embedded in the description of the methodology for better understanding.

Abstract:Technology of 3D GIS had developed rapidly and obtained widespread attention.Compared with two-dimensional GIS,3D GIS represents natural world more vividly.Moreover,it has specific functions of 3D displaying,analyzing and operating on spatial objects under a 3D system.Taking Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology as an example,introduced the modelling simulation process of virtual campus based on 3D GIS.It also discussed the key issues which are the essential technology and method of virtual campus simulation about 3D visualization on 3D-scene modelling,modelling optimization and system development design based on Google SketchUp and ArcGIS.The development of functional modules consists of four sub modules,namely 3D scene viewing,attributes query of buildings,path analysis and animation outputting.Finally,the paper addresses some problems involved in this system,and puts forward thoughts for further study.
