Established in June 2009, Journal of Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (Journal of NUIST) bimonthly publishes theoretical & applied research papers and overviews on earth science, electronics, communication and automatic control technology, computer science and technology, environmental science and engineering, geography, remote sensing and geomatics, mechanical instruments, electrical engineering, material science, chemistry and chemical industry, ecology, information science and system science,etc.
Journal of NUIST has been included by Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations Database (CSTPCD), CNKI, Wanfang Database, etc. In 2021, Journal of NUIST was included in "A Guide to the Core Journal of China 2020" (by Peking University Library). It also has been included by ProQuest, Chemical Abstract (CA), EBSCOhost, Japan Science and Technology (JST).
In the Annual Report for Chinese Academic Journal Impact Factors (2020) released by CNKI, Journal of NUIST ranks the 35th of the 280 comprehensive journals, which is ranked by CI (Academic Journal Clout Index, CI). And the U-JIF of Journal of NUIST is 0.939. The journal has been awarded excellent prize by Society of China University Journal in 2016, 2018 and 2020.
