      Abstract:The auxiliary model identification idea,the multi-innovation identification theory,the hierarchical identification principle,and the coupled identification concept are new methods for studying identification problems,proposed by the author of this article.They have been applied to many identification researches and resulted in different identification method families,and can be used to solve adaptive signal processing,adaptive parameter estimation,adaptive filtering and prediction,adaptive control and other issues for many linear or nonlinear models.Any objective thing has a dual property:some of the characteristics variables are observable and some are unmeasurable.For the observed system,it is easy to set up the mathematical model for describing its law of motion.The unmeasurable property of thing brings us particular difficulties for setting up the mathematical model.In this case,how to use the measured information of the system to estimate the unknown variables of a system and then to establish the mathematical model of the system is a challenging research topic in the area of system identification,which is the root of the auxiliary model identification idea.This article introduces the auxiliary model identification idea and some auxiliary model based identification methods.

    • Wavelet frequency estimation method and its application in communication signal detection

      Abstract:As a latest signal analysis toolkit,wavelet transform receives increasing interest from scholars.However, the correlation between the wavelet scale and frequency is an outstanding problem.This paper proposed a sinusoid model to estimate the central frequency of mother wavelets,besides,the model is generalized to the situation of arbitrary sample interval and arbitrary scale of wavelet.Moreover,traditional gradient-based optimization method will find local optimum due to the non-convex property of the model,therefore,a novel Rossler-attractor based Particle Swarm Optimization(RPSO)method was proposed.Experiments gave the center frequencies of all common wave-lets,and applied the proposed method in the field communication signal detection to validate its effectiveness and efficiency.

    • Vision detection of driving fatigue based on lip chroma Fisher classifier

      Abstract:To improve the accuracy and reliability of driving fatigue detection,three typical color characters are selected to construct the Fisher classifier for extracting lip region based on chroma distribution diversity.Region connecting algorithm is used to filter the noise in binary lip area.Improved integral projection algorithm is adopted to locate the lip boundary.Whether drivers are fatigued is recognized by the open-close degree of mouth and yawning frequency.Experiments show that the Fisher classifier based on three color characters has obvious superiority over that based on single color character in lip color extraction,the improved integral projection algorithm can enhance the accuracy and speed of locating lip boundary,and the driving fatigue detection based on yawning frequency has better accuracy and reliability.Fusing multi-color characters can promote the detection result of driving fatigue on the premise of ameliorating the robustness and reliability of lip color extraction.

    • The effect of the initial conditions after data assimilation on short-term climate prediction

      Abstract:Two numerical experiments of ensemble hindcasting for 17 years are performed with five-member ensembles in each experiment,and the initial conditions are NCEP-DOE Reanalysis 2 data(adopted in real-time prediction)for experiment 1 and supplied by the system of three-dimensional variational assimilation(3D-VAR)for experiment 2.The model used here is a grid-point Atmospheric General Circulation Model with 9 vertical levels and a resolution of 2°in latitudinal and 2.5°in longitudinal direction,which is developed by the Institute of Atmospheric Physics,the Chinese Academy of Sciences(IAP9L2x2.5-AGCM).The technique of Correlation Analysis is applied.Comparison results show that(1)the difference of temporal anomaly coefficient between experiment 1 and 2 is very small in tropics,whereas it is large in middle and high latitudes,especially in East Asia(China),(2)temporal anomaly coefficient of most variables in experiment 2 is bigger than that in experiment 1 in most of China region,(3) spatial anomaly correlation of many variables have some improvement by use of the initial conditions after data assimilation(in experiment 2),due to the inclusion of atmospheric information for some time and the resulting coordination with dynamic model.The results demonstrate quantitatively that the role of the initial conditions on the shortterm climate prediction in East Asia is more important than in the global,what's more,the initial conditions after data assimilation are better than that used in real-time prediction to some extent.

    • Remote sensing information extraction of mangrove based on knowledge and rules

      Abstract:The classification accuracy of mangrove is always low due to the similarity of spectra between mangrove and land vegetation,especially water-vegetation mixed pixels.Greenness index and wetness index were extracted based on TM imagery,which can effectively reflect the wetland characteristics of mangrove.The greenness index and wetness index can significantly improve the separability between mangrove and water-vegetation mixed pixels by comparison with NDVI,TM3/TM5,TM5/TM4,which always were employed by other researchers.Knowledge and rules method can significantly increase the classification accuracy of mangrove,compared with conventional classification features and method employed by other researchers.And the Kappa coefficient increased 0.10 while commission error of mangrove class decreased 16.1 percent by using decision tree method.

    • Performance analysis for China-made bead resistance temperature sensors

      Abstract:Based on 12 flight dataset from the 8th WMO international radiosonde intercomparison hold at Yangjiang of Guangdong province,the systematic evaluation of 3 types of bead resistance temperature sensor for China-made radiosondes,which belong to CHANGFENG,HUAYUN and DAQIAO company respectively,is carried out by choosing Germany GRAW radioseonde as reference through the same balloon releasing model.The initial evaluation results show as following:1)The 3 temperature observation profiles of domestic radiosondes have good consistence with that of Germany GRAW radiosonde,with better performance at nighttime than at daytime;2)CHANGFENG temperature sensor has better stability,whereas HUAYUN temperature sensor and DAQIAO temperature sensor both decrease in performance with height increase,particularly above 30 km;3)CHANGFENG temperature sensor has the best performance,whose relative systematic error is about 0.2℃,whereas the relative systematic errors of HUAYUN temperature sensor and DAQIAO temperature sensor can reach 1℃.So bead temperature sensor may be a good choice for future upper-air temperature detection,but the coating material and radiation correction algorithm for HUAYUN temperature sensor and DAQIAO temperature sensor need to be further improved.

    • Research on climatological drought and flood index of Changji areas

      Abstract:Drought is one of the major natural hazards in Changji areas.By using the method of Z-index and precipitation data of 37 years(from 1971 to 2007)of 8 representative meteorological stations in Changji areas,this paper studies the change of the drought and flood tendency and the distribution characteristics.The results indicate that the precipitation and characteristics of drought and flood in Changji areas is consistent,and the tendency is changing from drought to flood after mid-1970s,which is most significant in west and least significant in east.Frequency of drought in Changji areas is higher than that of flood,and frequency of drought is higher in west than in east,while frequency of flood is lower in west than in east.

    • Applying particle swarm optimization algorithm to optimize the site index curve model

      Abstract:The parameters of the site index curve model were solved by using particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm,with the minimum error in estimation of dominant height and site index as the target function.An application example is introduced to test the proposed method,and the estimation result is compared between PSO and immune algorithm.Comparison result shows that the parameters solved by PSO can decrease the overall error,increase the precision,improve the fitting effect of the site index curve model,thus increase the estimation precision of young forest.This research is hoped to provide new idea for parameter solving of grow model in forest management and related research,and expand the application of PSO in forestry science as well.

    • Research and practice on comprehensive analysis technology for multi-source heterogeneous log

      Abstract:The multi-source heterogeneous log analysis technology is one of the hottest topics in the area of network security in recent years,which attracts the interest of more and more domestic and abroad researchers.According to the characteristics of multi-source log in network system,a multi-source heterogeneous log analysis model which composed of focused analysis,statistical analysis and causality correlation analysis is proposed in this paper.Importance Evaluation method is introduced to the focused analysis for log information and an example is given to illustrate it,then causality correlation algorithm for multi-source log is discussed.Finally an example of actual network data is given to validate the comprehensive analysis model and algorithm.The results show that this model and algorithm is feasible and effective.

    • Modeling conditions of GM(1, 1)model

      Abstract:GM(1,1)model is the core prediction model in grey system.The study on the modeling conditions of grey system has been considered the base of improving the simulation accuracy.This paper adopts the method of combining theory proof and numerical example to study the modeling conditions of grey system,with the purpose to expand the class ratio judgment conditions of traditional grey prediction model.Results indicate that when the accumulate values of the raw sequence are equal,the development coefficient does not exist.The class ratio judgment intervals of the traditional modeling condition are not accurate enough,due to the still incomplete understanding of class ratio.Improving the smooth degree of the raw sequence is not the adequate condition to improve the simulation accuracy.Therefore,the modeling conditions of the traditional GM(1,1)model still need further research.

      Abstract:Based on the analysis of the main problems existed in the construction and management of university website,this paper proposes a solution of uniform establishment of website using CMS,which can also separate content from management.The concept and functions of CMS are introduced,and the detailed steps and important notes of using NuistCMS to construct website of different departments are also illustrated.The advantages of CMS in university website establishment and management are listed in the end.

    • The impact of correlation on channel capacity of BLAST architecture

      Abstract:The Bell Labs Layered Space-Time(BLAST)communication system has higher spectral efficiencies far beyond those offered by conventional techniques,and is able to increase the channel capacity effectively.In this paper,we investigate the channel capacities of BLAST architecture using the exponential correlation matrix and the uniform correlation matrix model.Numerical simulations are performed with Matlab to verify the proposed formulas. Simulation ressults show that the exponential correlation matrix model predicts better BLAST performance than the uniform correlation matrix model.With small antenna numbers or high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),these two models approximate perfectly.
