As an important germplasm plant as well as oil plant with versatile economic and ecological values,camellia chekiang-oleosa is widely planted in Dexing’s mountainous regions.Researches on climatic characteristics and planting techniques for camellia chekiang-oleosa are of theoretical values and practical significance for biodiversity protection and economic plant development.The effect of meteorological factors on the quality of camellia chekiang-oleosa was analyzed using meteorological data of recent 50 years in Dexing.The planting techniques were elaborated for different growth stages.Results show that the climate in Dexing is suitable for cultivation of camellia chekiang-oleosa.Some useful cultivation and management techniques according to wild camellia chekiang-oleosa growth characteristics are put forward.
