基于斐索干涉仪的RZ-DPSK信号可调谐展宽技术研究

中文摘要:提出了一种新型的基于菲索干涉仪的归零差分相移键控(RZ-DPSK)信号的可调谐展宽技术,对10 Gb/s RZ-DPSK信号脉宽进行调节,占空比由33%连续展宽到75%。实验结果表明:在误码率为10-9的条件下,转换得到的50%、66%和75%占空比信号的功率代价分别为0.9dB、2.1dB和3.2dB。随着脉冲的展宽,信号消光比虽有减小,但都大于5 dB。进一步研究结果表示,该结构对波长透明,适用于不同波长信号的展宽。此外,该装置还可对不同速率的信号进行展宽。

Tunable Broadening of RZ-DPSK Signal based on Fizeau Interferometer
Abstract:A new tunable broadening technique of RZ-DPSK signal based on Fizeau interferometer is proposed. The pulse width of 10 Gb/ s RZ-DPSK signal is adjusted, and the duty cycle of the signal is broadened from 33% to 75%. The experimental results show that the power penalty of the converted signal with the duty cycle of 50%, 66% and 75% is 0.9db, 2.1dB and 3.2db, respectively. With the pulse broadening, the extinction ratio of the signal decreases, but it is still greater than 5 dB. The structure is transparent to the wavelength and can apply to broaden different wavelength signals. In addition, the device can also broaden the signal with different rates.
